Legendary R&B Soul Funk Singer Teena Marie Dead at 54


Teena Marie gained popularity while working with, legendary funk singer, Rick James. She produced and wrote a lot of her own music including the hit singles “Square Biz”

and “I Need Your Lovin”.

Teena Marie died of natural causes on Sunday, December 26, 2010 at her Pasadena, California home. She was set to be the Keynote Speaker for this year’s California Music Industry Summit. She will be greatly missed. California Music Industry Summit will keep her family in our thoughts.
