Indie record labels are becoming more prominent in today’s music. This helps local artists gain exposure on a wider level and benefits the community as well. Indie record labels are continually developing great business models and artists. Today’s independent record labels provide close mentoring and support for their artists, allowing the artists more creative control while helping establish their vision.

In The Industry Magazine Khela says, “I want to give the people from California and BEYOND a new sound to listen to.”

Having artists create music that’s true to their art and style is important for a lot of music fans. The 2011 California Music Industry Summit will have indie artists from all across the country and foreign countries performing a host of interesting music styles.
