California Music Industry Summit supports independent artists everywhere. Hundreds of amazingly talented artists from across the world will be at CMIS on June 10-11, 2011.

There are tons of independent artists who are constantly creating unique and high quality music, promoting their music and connecting with fans. Today CMIS Blog spotlights Tim Brantley a Pop/Rock musician from Canton, Georgia.

Tim Brantley has been playing the piano since he was a kid and his talent is obvious in his performances. His laid back style, strong vocals and distinctive sound make for a one of a kind show.

In 2009 Tim was signed to Blackledge Records, an independent record label. That same year he released the self-produced album Goldtop Heights available on iTunes.

Goldtop Heights was considered “One of the best albums of 2009,” by Performing Songwriter Magazine. Tim Brantley’s music has been featured in television shows such as The Hills on MTV and NBC’s Chuck.

In a Birmingham Box Set article Tim talks about what he expects for the future of his music, “I’m definitely a guy that looks ahead. I’m always looking ahead. I hope that I can continue to do this for a living, that my music can reach more and more people,”

Connecting with fans is important for Brantley as he continues to tour with artists such as NeedtoBreathe and Sister Hazel through 2011-2012.

“I hope that people can connect to the things that I’m writing because they’re very personal to me…” (Tim Brantley).
